Our timing for these Morven Park engagement photos was second-to-none. We were able to enjoy peak autumn foliage in October at the incredible Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. This was my first time here and I was speechless at the scenic sights.
I remember saying to Alyssa and TJ, ” Man, you guys really picked a great weekend to have your engagement photos taken. The trees look incredible!” to which Alyssa replied, “Actually, you’re the one who scheduled it for us, and told us the second-to-last weekend of October would be the best time to take these photos.”
Then I remembered the suggestion and thanked past Jason for thinking ahead. We shared a collective laugh and continued with the session.
Alyssa and TJ were initially shy when it came to being in front of the camera. Luckily, I’m very comfortable working with couples who’ve never had a professional photography session. After all, most couples getting engaged/married are doing so for the first time.
Once we broke the ice and I shared with them My Approach To Wedding Photography Posing, we were able to quickly shake off the initial awkwardness and get straight into the fun.
