Thea and Nick’s wedding at the Historic Rosemont Springs in Berryville, Virginia was a day filled with laughter, love, and meticulous planning to ensure every moment was captured flawlessly.
As the couple’s wedding photographer, I usually get the opportunity to meet the bride and groom beforehand during their engagement session. This time around, I had the unique experience of meeting Nick and his groomsmen for the first time on the big day. Their relaxed and welcoming nature set a great tone for the celebrations to come.
The planning session with Thea was thorough, as we had a couple of sessions to carefully plan the photography timeline. Thea had a clear vision of the photos she desired but was initially concerned about fitting everything into the schedule. Together, we crafted an efficient timeline that coordinated the day’s events smoothly, ensuring we could capture all the significant moments without feeling rushed and leaving time for breaks to just enjoy the moment.
The day kicked off with an emotionally charged first look followed by portraits with Thea and Nick’s Labradoodle-mix Onyx. Afterward, we knocked out the formal portraits and moved into the wedding ceremony.
Known for their fun-loving nature, Thea and Nick were particularly excited about the reception, and it didn’t disappoint. The evening was a blast, filled with dancing, laughter, and memorable speeches.
As the night began to wind down, Thea and Nick shared a private last dance followed by a sparkler exit.
