Woodlands Wedding with Vibrant Hindu Traditions

Alisha and Ajeet’s Woodlands wedding day was an absolute party. The Woodlands at Algonkian is a venue I have always wanted to work at. Since this venue was only 15 minutes away from my house, I had a very chill commute. Needless to say, I was excited to finally have the opportunity to work here and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with.

Alisha and Ajeet are a quirky duo. I love their energy and sense of humor. Unsurprisingly, their Indian wedding was filled with vibrant traditions, high-energy laughter, and heartfelt moments. They started the day off a little camera-shy, but with some guidance, they quickly found their comfort and together we were able to make some epic portraits.

A few months before their wedding, I met with Alisha and Ajeet to walk through the events of their day. This pre-wedding meeting isn’t something I do often (it doesn’t come up frequently). I was happy to do so for Alisha and Ajeet, especially for an event as intricate as an Indian wedding. Indian weddings are packed with detailed rituals, so planning how to best capture their day was a very rewarding experience.

As a wedding photographer, it’s a joy to be able to create personalized wedding photographs. I was very excited to capture the love and excitement between Alisha and Ajeet along with the rich cultural traditions rooted in their family histories.
