Micro Wedding Day at Anchor Inn in Pasadena

Rose and Kwo celebrated their intimate wedding day at Anchor Inn in Pasadena, Maryland. As soon as I arrived I was taken aback by the venue’s beautiful waterfront view.

I love waterfront weddings. So, I was very excited to see the view and began envisioning some photography opportunities for later in the evening.

Luck was on our side this day. Once Rose and Kwo arrived, they decided to have an outdoor ceremony. This had been in question since it had rained leading up to the big day. Thankfully, the rain stayed away and we could take advantage of the waterfront view along with some of the photography opportunities I had envisioned.

Getting Started

The photography coverage started with a first look at the pier. Once Rose and Kwo had their moment together, we quickly moved into the ceremony which was brief yet powerful. Love was definitely in the air as they exchanged vows in front of their 80 closest friends and family members.

These micro-weddings are honestly my favorite to document. They are small enough for me to photograph everyone involved while still being big enough to capitalize on epic wedding venues such as Anchor Inn.

Once the ceremony concluded and the portraits began, we worked with efficiency in mind since the chilly March winds started to creep up on us. We were able to get some awesome portraits together then quickly moved back inside to warm up.

The reception section featured a choreographed dance that Rose and Kwo performed flawlessly. In our initial conversation, they had mentioned taking dance lessons which paid off.

The night ended with a private cake-cutting, emotional parent dances, and a groovy dance floor to top off the fun-filled day.
